08 will not fit an 03 without a subframe change. Been researching thisnalot lately while trying to upgrade my 2001.

Pro Motosports is a small shop in Denver, Colorado and on Friday, January 21st, I stopped by after I saw their Craig's List ad selling off their remaining Gas Gas parts from when they were a dealer years ago. They had a new seat from an 04 or 05 FSE 450 they were trying to sell along with some other 450 parts if they would work for you. They also had a 125 Messico pipe (used) for sale. Give them a call at 303-433-0536 as they should still have it! If you need shipping help I can help with that!

Randy,

I had an FSE seat on my '03, be aware that the base fits but its deeper to make room for the battery. What this means is thin foam in that area and you can sometimes feel the base. I swapped mine for an '01 base. If your running a tall foam it may not matter. KX seat might work, never tried it, but the subframes up to '98 fit. Is your seat base trashed? I've fixed a couple for other people.

Thumbs up seat

the problem with the stocker is the seat/tank junction on the lower section (where you would wrap around and under the pan) sticks out,,,with that you get a premature worn seat and it also hooks gaerne boots (had to cut the top inside of the boot so it wouldnt hook it,,,got pretty hairy at times,,as you could imagine or experienced) as far as repairing it,,hmmmm,,think its beyond that! i mite just try a kx seat,,,keep you posted! thanks for the input,,,

PM Spitfire77, he parted out an '03 125 and I bought wheels and some other stuff. He might have a seat. Good guy to deal with.

In '00 I think the tank junction got flatter, so the base might be a little different. '00 through '06 should be the same except for the FSE seat. My '03 EC250 came from the factory with an FSE seat! Check the '04 seat for a battery cutout.

the seat i have spare is this one. it's very narrow along the top ridge, and almost straight across the ridge. i don't like it - harder to load the front forks in turns...i like the seats with a dip in the front - easier to get forward/low.. i don't know if 04 seat is same as 03 seat.
