Spring Problem
I bought a used set of Marzocchi .38 springs for my '05 250 DE. The bike had the stock springs in it which I believe are .42's. I noticed when I took the stock spring out it was 1" longer than the .38's. This will obviously lower the bike that much. Do I need different spacers or what? I did install them just to see how it would be and if the front wheel is suspended in air there is alot of free play until it hits the spring. Any ideas???? Thanks.

You need to make up new spacers, 5 - 8mm preload. .38s are really soft, what do you weigh?

The way to tell different Marzocchi springs apart is by their length. In the Marzocchi universe when you add the length of the spring and supplied spacer together you should always end up with the same length. In your case the supplied spacers for the 0,38 springs are missing so you'll have to make a set that are 1'' long to make up the difference.
