I checked all the articles listing weight over a one year period and this is correct. Someone can say its wrong, but you need to show me objective evidence not unsubtantiated claims. Make sure to specify where this miracle weight loss on the Beta occurs. i.e frame, engine etc.The Gassers are about 8 pounds more per the magazines(except Dirt Rider whose claims that the GASGAS weight was 274 pounds and that the 300 ENGINE GASGAS WAS DOWN ON POWER were so stupid and outlandish that they lost all their credibility.) GasGas is cutting some weight off the 2014s at the engine, frame and wheels which should put it around the Beta.
Does my certified scale count? I sell and race both Betas and GasGas - in 2013 the Beta 300RR was 27 pounds lighter than the GasGas 300e with the same level of equipment. You can feel the difference in the shop and on the trail.

I would expect the 2014s to be closer because GasGas has decided to die-cast their engine cases, cast a new cylinder, machine their hubs etc. etc. I don't expect the gap will have completely closed.

Nope, it doesn't. So, the Beta is 252 pounds plus 27pounds= 279 Pounds for a gasgas? Really? I ain't buying that at all. Didn't you post in the other threads the GasGas weighed 22 pounds more the Beta? Why is it 27 pounds now? Explain where Beta is saving 27 (or is it 22 now?)pounds of weight?

I didn't ask you to explain why the GasGas is heavier. I asked you to explain why the Beta is lighter.

Pretty sure 258 - 231 is still 27 pounds. You don't have to believe it.
I still love me some GasGas but they are undeniably heavier than a Beta. Again, you don't have to believe it.

That '14 does look good. Even the purple shock looks ok. Any word on what springs will crossover with it, undoubtedly if I was to buy one I'd need to up the spring rate.
And is there no LSC clicker on the compression adjuster?

I heard the rieger suspension is very good , I was over at the husky uk team getting some sprockets , they use rieger shocks and internals in their kayaba forks , he said they were out testing a shock with Danny mccanny and when he came back he said that's much better than the one he had on his race bike , the guy from rieger replied , but Danny that's our standard shock .

Oh and nice bike too , I'd like another new one but the depreciation in just over a year is too much of a hit
