??SPRING rate
I just got a ec 300 2003 i am 235 without gear ride c class h/s what rate springs do i need to be looking at?

Hi GAKLX
Go HERE to enter your wieght ect... and get right spring rates for your weight. Look on the list for: Custom Fork Spring Calculation and Available Rates and Custom Shock Spring Calculation and Available Rates to get to the calculators for each. You will find that under GAS GAS, they dont allow you to calc Shock Spring Rate. Select another Brand that uses the same Spring Guage. |

For the shock spring - what matters is the linkage ratio - not the spring guage. I would imagine that a '94 kx250 would be similar, but don't really know for sure...

Good Point Jeff. Anyone know what Jap bike compares to make this calculator useful?

I'm a similar weight and run a 5.7 rear with .48 forks. I reckon 0.46 might be better for the forks though. This seems to work well for woods type riding.
