Thumbs down The BikeBandit.com Motorcycle Cover

http://www.bikebandit.com/bikebandit...torcycle-cover

This product does not quite live up to its claimed features:

"The BikeBandit.com Motorcycle Cover is made of a light weight material that repels water and dries quickly. Folds very compactly and it will easily fit in your saddlebags with room to spare on those long trips. NOTE: This cover does not have a heat shield so it is recommended that you apply this cover on motorcycle after it cools down.

Product Features:

?Water Repellant
?Locking Grommets for Added Security
?Bungee Cord to Secure cover on the Motorcycle
?Includes Storage Bag with BikeBandit.com Logo " end quote

This thing might keep a misting rain or morning dew from soaking your bike. But it will not stop full sized rain drops. It is good for keeping dust or maybe bird poop off the bike, but it is a far cry from weather protection. I suppose it offers some UV protection.

Size Medium is a snug fit on my 2001 xc300

I'm glad it was cheap ($15 US) on their Ride To Work promo. Even at $15, it seems like a waste of money. That could have been $15 towards a good cover.

YMMV

So this cover would not be recommended for transporting a bike on a trailer, back of a truck, etc.

I think it might get shredded in the wind at highway speeds.
Nice dust cover for the garage or dew cover for camping in the pits. Beyond that, most folks would want a heavier duty unit, IMHO.
