Forks
I just talked to a local shop that is going to set my suspension up for my weight.
He was talking about the fork seals and how expensive they are and how he will only put OEM seals on the forks. Why is that? Is Hall's the best place to get those seals? How can I tell what forks I have? I have looked online and seem to get any solid information about them. I don't see any numbers of writing on them they are plain gray at the bottom and shinny up top. What started all this is the front end washed out several times while riding the other day and the rear end hit me like a bucking bronco several times, I about ate a tree! EDIT: Frame says 98 250 motor is 99EC200......I looked for a picture and history of the bikes and can't find one for the EC but plenty of trials history.

Measure the shiny part of the fork, it should be 45mm. If so, they are Marzocchi Magnum 45 forks. There should be some good aftermarket seals available or try Halls.

It's way off, I would have to pre-load the rear to much. I did try and set it.

+2. You have to shell out more coin for them, but they last much longer than OEM, in my experience. They say less stiction as well, but I cant tell much of a difference.

Or....Get the right rear spring and see what happens? P.S. The $600 includes; Springs Front and back and re-valve. Plus a one on one with setting sag right.

front and rear springs, revalve and help with setting it up-for $600?? Jump on that offer while it's still an option. i'm not sure about prices where you are , but up here in canada eh, 250-300 bucks will buy you a set of springs, and then the valving, seals, oil, etc is all on top of that.
