Default 2001 GasGas XC250 - Very Low Hours

What do you guys think.... is it time to just part this bike out?

Hey folks... member me? It's been awhile.

2001 GasGas XC250 - LOADED and almost like new....
$3250 OBO

XC 'Cross Country versions were custom spec'd for the US market with WORC's and GNCC type racing in mind but designed to still meet the needs of the serious enduro racer and even the weekend warrior trail rider.

I bought this bike new in June of 2001 and then we had twins! Between family and travel commitments for work this bike has gotten very little use. Ridden 3 times in the past two years. I'm a fat old slow guy so it was never abused.

Extras:
Doma Exhaust w/LT-Racing Carbon Fiber Pipe Guard
FMF Turbine Core II S.A. Silencer
Pro Taper Bars - Pastrana Bend
Fastway 'Fit' handguard system with Scotts Steering Damper Mount
Fastway Evolution Foot Pegs
*Scotts Steering Damper (negotiable)
BRP Upper Triple Clamps
LT-Racing Stage II Jetting
LT-Racing Billet High Volume Power Valve cover
LT-Racing Billet Chain Guide
LT-Racing Billet Case Saver
LT-Racing Hardened Exhaust Spigot
LT-Racing High Volume water pump impeller
LT-Racing Mud Guard
LT-Racing 122mm Suspension Links
Front and Rear Suspension valved and sprung by LT-Racing
Eibach Rear Spring
51T Ironman Rear Sprocket
CRD Skid Plate
CRD Frame Guards
Michelin M12 Front S12 Rear
Professionally Maintained
Always run with Amsoil Series 2000 100% Synthetic 2 Stroke Oil

Located in Idaho. Email me if interested. entangidahl@hotmail.com

Default What do you guys think.... is it time to just part this bike out?

I parked this thing away and have almost forgotten about it. We started a new business so I know I'm not going to get to ride it any time soon. Almost 3 years since I've ridden it.

What do you guys think.... is it time to just part this bike out? It'd be a shame as it is really really in good condition. I barely rode it after the first year I bought it. That motor probably has less than 100 hours on it and I didnt ride it hard. All those trick goodies.....

Let me know what you guys think.

First of all your bike is very clean! Looks to be well taken care of. with plenty of extra's! $3200 seems steep for a 01 GasGas250! If it was me, I'd hang onto it and try to sell it vice parting it out.

Good Luck

I think your bike is a work of art and belongs on the trail!
If you ever plan on riding again you will regret selling.
To set up a bike like this new is big $$$!

I recently bought a 2003 for $1700, with low hours.
Of course, I've put some $$$, to get it where I want it.

I think your price is fair, based on all the extras you have on it.

Good Luck!

Nice bike with great parts! If you MUST sell it, I think parting it out will get you more money. (let me know what you would want for the front and rear wheels with rotors)

Oh yeah... ignore that price. That was the price when I first listed it here.

I'm really considering parting it out now... but would probably take $2k for the whole thing easy. That includes the orignal parts that I took off of her.

That is a great looking bike.. I hope you find a buyer! $2k looks like a reasonable price to me. Love the setup.

- Not sure on that one. It is not the standard EC CDI. I've had guys with EC's ask me if I wanted to trade ignitions because I was looking to tame this bike down a bit. Which reminds me... I have a flywheel weight for this bike too. I just never put it on
What size forks?
- 43mm WP's
Where in Idaho are you located.
- Boise
are 01's 6 speed?
- Yes
Has motor been rebuilt? you say 100hrs on motor what is on bike?
- The motor has never been apart. I should have stated that better as the entire bike probably has less than 100hrs on it.
