Have you changed the wires on the ECM to set it to use the "race" map?

Can you change it to the race map with the wires?
I thought you need a pc with a programme to switch it to the race map. |

I am assuming that the quad has the same electronics as the enduro. There are two maps programmed in from the factory. It may come with it set to the "mild" setting. Make sure the yellow/blue wire is disconnected from blue/yellow wire on the ecu to select the race map.
jeff note : The yellow/blue wire is labeled Y/L on the schematic, whereas the blue/yellow wire is labeled L/Y on the schematic. Last edited by webmaster; 03-13-2007 at 11:03 PM. Reason: For Clarity... |

My FSE450 came with a throttle restriction. I don't know if that is the case with your quad. If it is, grind off the little thingy sticking out on the gas wire bracket. The red line in the pic shows how it used to look.
